Michael J. Shockley brings over 20 years of experience in financial planning and investment analysis to RGT. Before joining the firm, he was a practicing attorney. Mike also served as a financial advisor for Prudential Securities in Century City and M.L. Stern & Company in Beverly Hills. His extensive experience in real estate and business acquisition, disposition and succession planning is an invaluable asset to our clients. Mike is also a member of the bars of both California and the District of Columbia.
Heavily involved in professional organizations, Mike is a past president and board member of the Orange County Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He currently serves as the group leader of Provisor’s Newport Center Group, an organization established to foster collaboration among business professionals. Mike sits on the board of the Southern California Chapter of the Steamship Historical Society of America, Inc., serving as its treasurer.
Mike earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles where he was an editor for the International and Comparative Law Review as well as a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. He also holds both Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Loyola Marymount University. Mike is a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Business Honor Society. He was a varsity letterman of Loyola’s NCAA Division I Soccer Team. In addition, he attained the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts.
Mike has coached youth soccer for several years, including club soccer. He has also given his time to the Special Olympics as a soccer and basketball coach.
