Tim Weber joined RGT in 2012 as a Managing Director. He brings over 25 years of investment management experience to the firm. Previously, Tim spent 19 years at Goldman Sachs in private wealth management after beginning his career in the mutual fund industry. While at Goldman, Tim led a team of six professionals working exclusively with high net worth families to manage all aspects of their financial world.
Tim has significant experience in all liquid asset classes including cash, fixed income, equities, and derivatives, as well as alternative asset classes. His team works with clients on portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management and implementation of portfolios across the full spectrum of asset classes. Tim also assists clients with portfolio and single-asset hedging in addition to bringing the full slate of family office activities of RGT to bear for clients.
Tim has a passion for philanthropy and is actively involved in helping clients develop their own philosophy of giving. He is active in a number of community organizations and has served with East Dallas County Young Life, Search Ministries and JourneyMen, an offshoot of Search dedicated to encouraging and mentoring men in their 20s and 30s. He has served The Covenant School as a member of their Foundation Board in addition to co-chairing capital campaigns. Additionally, Tim is actively involved in his son’s Boy Scout troop.
Tim earned his Bachelor in Economics from Yale University. While there, he was a two-sport athlete, playing both football and throwing the discus on the track & field team. He received his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
